How tall you are ( comparatively ) also depends on which part of the world you are living in. In this part of the world people are more shorter. Here in India, men's average height is 5' 5" and women's are somewhere between 5' and 5' 2". So here I belong to the above average/ tall class. While if I come there( in the west ), I may belong to the below average class. :o

That's right. It also depends where you are living. Men are taller in the north, while shorter here. So when taken the average it is 5' 5" :)

I think we should have a thread where everyone could tell us how long it would take in milliseconds for light (or sound waves) to travel from the top of our head to our feet.

We could then further digress into calculating the density of our organs the waves would have to travel through & come to different conclusions and theoretically waste the rest of our lives discussing the assumptions we would need to make.

That would be 0.6E-5 miliseconds.

PS: of course I assumed the speed of light is 3E+8 m/s, which of course is not accurate it is rather 2.965E+8 m/s, which again may be the best aproximation.
