Happy Dushehra/Vijayadashmi!!
Happy Dushehra/Vijayadashmi ... whatever it is :wave:
Dushehra, also known as Vijayadashmi is one of the main hindu festivals.
It is celebrated to mark the victory of good (Lord Ram) over evil (Demon king Ravana) as per the Ramayana, the mythological epic.

I was excited to see this thread on CodeGuru.
Happy Dusshera to all of you.
It should not be termed as "belated wishes" as in many parts of India, Dushera is celebrated as Dushera-Mela for complete 20 days!
// Mela = fest, carnival
Happy Dussehra, folks! ;) :wave:
Happy Dashain/Dushehar/Vijayadashami and Depawali/Tihar !!! :) :) :)
We people at Nepal call Dushehra as Dashain and for Depawali we call it Tihar
Tihar as in Tihar Jail :D ..dont mind .. just kidding..Quote:

You know these festivals bring a certain smell in the air..I am sure kirants, Sid and those Indians away might not get it for sure (except for the beer and spirit around :D )That typical smell makes you aware that yeah the festivals are near and its time to celebrate and have fun...Diwali is my favorite one....The cities look so beautiful... in a similar way as is NY during Christmas :thumb:
Have fun guys. Best regards. :thumb: :wave:
Thoyaar is Hindi word for Festival. It is also pronounced as "tihaar" and Tihar might be in Nepal...
A belated happy Dushehra to all. :wave: :wave:
