Jessica Alba of course
C'mon this doesnt even look like a fair poll... are these the only women who did something in 2005?? I am sure there are more and better.. In this list I guess all of them are actresses except a few .. may be .. I dont know. I know just - Diaz, Jolie, Shanon, Shakira and Maria Sharapova. Where is the Indian tennis star.. Shania Mirza... she has to be there too if you have Maria.. :D :thumb:
I won't poll.. they are not even eligible for women of the year .. or atleast first provide us with some stats about who did what so that we are in sync..
Um, they're all hot? :DQuote:

heh sorry, I thought this is the "Sexiest Actress" poll..:DQuote:

This is not about universal woman of year 2005. It's just a plain and simple woman of year 2005 poll. If you think this is an unfair poll, It's fine with me not casting your vote because the vote belongs to you and I'm in no position to force you to vote. It may end up be a 10 person voting at the end, afterall I'm just curious about the result.
Whether to cast your vote, it's up to you.
And I'm sure some may chance upon such article, be it in the newspaper or magazine. I'm sure you people read. If you could notice the women stated in the poll are mostly from celebrities and a few from sports (whom are pick because they are pretty and successfull. --- stated in the article.). I myself have no idea what they did to deserve "Woman of year 2005" simply because they are just celebrities. I voted Angelina Jolie because i FELT she fits the title. If you FEEL someone listed in the poll deserve "Woman of year 2005" then vote. If there isn't, DON'T VOTE.
I voted for Jessica Alba simply because she had many movies this year (2005) and I believe, she's starting to "break out" this year also, aside from the fact that she is pretty/sexy too (I'm not saying the others are not). ;)
It would have been nicer if I can read that article online. :D But that's alright. :) I don't even know three of the women listed/polled in the article, and its surprising what I've found about them in my google search. (I'm impressed with Heather Mitts) :)
Speaking of polls, AskMen.com have their own "Top 99 Most Desirable Women 2005" ... I'm sure Moni is there, among other favorites of the male gender here at CG. ;)
Told ya I'm sure. ;) :DQuote:

reason?...well, she care about the 3rd countries and the UN representative...that's something great about her...as for the others(even though I don't recognized some of them), their achievements are centred to themselves...but Angie's achievement is about helping others...
What you said is true. But I dunno... she lost one point for me because of the Brad issue. Ofcourse, its not entirely her fault. But still... ;) (Just my opinion). :)Quote:

Hehe. It doesn't really matter, really. :) I still like Angie though, except for that thing. ;)Quote:

I voted for Angeline Jolie not just because she is soooo sexy. This year she adopted a girl from Somalia, 9 months old, and when she did that they suspected that the girl was HIV positive. Later it proved not true but that didn't stop Angelina adopting the little girl. I think that's something. And she wants to adopt more children.
My vote also went for Angelina Jolie.
Between, why have you not listed Indian Goddess Aishwarya Rai there??
She made to the cover of the Time magazine. Appeared on the Ophrah Winfrey Show and all this when she comes from a part of world where women dont have equal privilages as men :(.
Mods pls add Ash to the list!
I want to nominate someone for her contributions to the Codeguru PHP forum. How can I do that when you only list actresses here ?
A. J. is my vote... .. Dunno, i just like her a lot... She is a pretty good actress..
Gremmy..
P.S. I realy wouldn't mind if she poped out the cake, at my party.. :D
If you want more names in the poll drop me a PM and I'll add them.Quote:

My apologies. I was in such a hurry yesterday that I neglected to add one necessary word. All I meant was, I don't see any reason why I should be added in the list at all. :) Why?? Because of what Miss Piggy already explained in her post.
A set of people have already nominated/chose who they think are qualified to be in that list. I dunno which magazine Miss Piggy got it. But that's the point. Its that magazine's poll we are voting for (if we want to vote or not). Miss Piggy just want to compare results. :)
About winning. Who doesn't want to win? I don't mind losing, if I was beaten fair and square. :D I personally feel that its better to be recognized for something you did and worked hard for. Me winning the "Last Poster for 2005" here at CG would've been sweeter if there were a lot of people online at that time. I kind of expected that it would be like that and was a little bit disappointed. :D (It happens when I expect things, so I usually don't expect things. ) I won that very easily, which takes the fun out of it. But hey, yeah.. I did win. So... that makes me the winner. :D
@cilu: I can relate to Emil Cioran in some sort of way. But I've realized that it would be rude if you don't accept other people's recognition (even if you personally don't think its necessary) especially if they felt, and they want you to have it. :D I see Marlon Brando's point, and would probably do the same thing. ;)

Err...and how far can you go for that? Offcourse in your current technical form, the chances of you winning the title are equal of me stepping at Mars. :rolleyes:Quote:
