Seeking Senior iOS Software Engineer

Greetings all, I am a representative of Classkick, a startup specializing in Education Technology and furthering its development.

We are seeking an ambitious and nice software engineer who is passionate about building great software, and helping teachers and students.

What you’ll do

Produce well-designed, easily maintainable, well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism.

Execute both independently and collaboratively with iOS, backend, web & SRE engineers

Design, build, and deploy the Classkick iPad app

Contribute to major platform design decisions

Implement automation opportunities to drive down redundancy and reduce technical debt.

Develop new features and continuously refine the experience based on feedback from teachers, students and school
visits

Think long term and build foundations for design systems

Mentor engineers earlier in their technical careers to help them grow

Help maintain a scalable infrastructure that achieves intended outcomes regarding speed, security, stability, testing,
costs

Improve engineering standards, tools, and processes, such as CI/CD



You may be a fit for this role if you:

Must haves

•Have experience leading or working on iOS projects from start to finish

•Are passionate about improving education

Nice to haves

•Have good familiarity with Firebase API

•Have good familiarity with iOS CoreGraphics

Practice test-driven development

Classkick’s stack: iOS, Angular, GCP, Firebase, MySQL, Scala, Kubernetes. Prior familiarity with stack is a bonus. It’s NOT required.

Chicago or Remote, relocation assistance included. $85K-135K + equity
