COM tutorial step by step

Hi to all
I hope this is the correct section for this post (otherwise I ask to administrator to tell me the more indicated one).
As in the subject, I attempt to compile the code of an old article in order to obtain a COM dll

If I compile it using Visual Studio Community 2017 I have a midl.exe error (exit code 2214). I check the flag
/mktyplib203 and is set in order to have an idl file MkTypLib compatible but nothing. Is there anyone that
compiled this example using vs2017 ?
Any suggestions ?
