    OK, I have tested your sample.
    If I changed the CMainFrame::On0Restore() to
    void CMainFrame::On0Restore()
    {
    ShowWindow(SW_RESTORE);
    SetForegroundWindow();
    }
    then I could very easy get a...

    I agree with Arjay. It is very hard to distinguish between the colors on the attached image.
    And I guess that the "strips" you refer to do not belong to your CMFCToolBar window.
