    Re: Activate MDI window

    void CMainFrame::On0Restore()
    {
    // TODO: Add your command handler code here

    ShowWindow(SW_RESTORE);
    SetForegroundWindow();

    Re: Activate MDI window

    You've been saying consistently that you need the left button on the tray icon to work. The balloon code works for me. Why are you saying On0Restore is not ok?

    Re: Activate MDI window

    Did you write any code to go with your left button down message yet?

    Re: Activate MDI window

    Good grief dude. All you need to do is copy some code from one of the messages that does work into your left button code. I don't know how much simpler to make it. Of course it didn't work,...

    Re: Activate MDI window

    I wouldn't post it if I didn't think it would help. You have a function that handles tray notifications. CSystemTray::OnTrayNotification(UINT wParam, LONG lParam). Step through it and see how it...

    Re: Activate MDI window

    Which is exactly what I said. I showed you the messages you're processing, and they're all working. Add code to make the left button work.

    Re: Activate MDI window

    Look at the messages you're processing.

    WM_RBUTTONUP
    WM_LBUTTONDBLCLK
    NIN_BALLOONUSERCLICK

    I don't see anything that would handle a single left button click on the try icon.

    You should get...

    Re: Activate MDI window

    It's really frustrating when you tell somebody what the problem is and they ignore your post.

    I told you where to look

    Re: Activate MDI window

    Look at the messages you're handling in CSystemTray::OnTrayNotification(UINT wParam, LONG lParam)

    I suspect you probably want to handle some left button messages

    Re: Unwanted Toolbar Button

    As I said earlier, the problem isn't likely in the resource file, it's where the toolbar is getting created. If you're using MFC, lookin in Mainfrm.cpp. If you're not, look into whatever framework...

    Re: Unwanted Toolbar Button

    It's probably in your MainFrm.cpp code. Look for an array called nButtons, and a call to m_wndToolBar.SetButtons(). If you don't see anything there, look for anything in MainFrm.cpp that has to to...

    That doesn't make much sense either.

    Re: debug in release mode

    Can you explain in more detail what you're trying to do? If you're not debugging the third-party app, why not just debug yours? Why the need to attach to anything?

    Re: debug in release mode

    Are you trying to debug a third party tool? You can't do that unless you have a debug version of it including their pdb file.

    Re: debug in release mode

    Why debug in release mode?
    Did you compile and link to include debug info?
    Is there a reason you're using attach rather than starting the app in the debugger?

    Re: Why doesn't this code compile?

    Thanks. I don't know how it's being used. It seems to be a boost file. It's a large project I need to make a small change to. I'm going to have to wait till the guy that wrote it comes back from...

    Re: Why doesn't this code compile?

    I really don't know what it's supposed to be doing, but changing it to == gave me way more errors. That line makes no sense to me, but as I said, I really haven't used templates, so I don't even...

    Why doesn't this code compile?

    Not my code and I haven't used templates much. These two lines

    template <class U>
    static yes_type test(U&, decltype(U(source<U>()))* = 0);

    give the error ...

    Not every browser maintains history. Perhaps you could do something with EnumWindows.

    Re: FLAT CEdit(EditBox)

    Targetver.h contains one line
    #include <SDKDDKVer.h>

    Look for a difference in stdafx.h between the projects if it can't find that.

    Re: FLAT CEdit(EditBox)

    Also, the part of the resource file that describes an edit control created in the resource editor.
  23. Re: Coloring Rect of Create(lpszText,dwstyle,&rect,parentwnd,nID) white

    You really need to use the resource editor. You're developing a really bad habit.
  24. Re: How to do flat style of CEdit (EDITTEXT) and CComboBox in CDialog

    I can't tell you anything else at this point. Maybe zip up the smallest project you can so we can take a look.
  25. Re: How to do flat style of CEdit (EDITTEXT) and CComboBox in CDialog

    I don't see that behavior. You can turn WS_EX_CLIENTEDGE off in the resource editor, but it shouldn't be on anyway. WS_BORDER and WS_VISIBLE should be all you need. What version of Visual Studio...
