How to submit an article?

Based on recent difficulty in finding info on what I thought should be an easy task, I thought it would be nice to write a little article on it with code example.

Can I submit it to Codeguru? What do I need to do in order to submit it?

If you submit an article, please also send an email to submit@codeguru.com stating you submitted an article for review. That will make sure it doesn't get lost in all the marketing submissions that get removed.
