How to decode an escape sequence?

In my text file, there is a line:

    \t\t\t\t

I use CStdioFile::ReadString() to read the line into a string, but the string is not composed of four tab characters, instead, it is still "\t\t\t\t". Therefore, I wonder how can I get these escape sequences decoded? Thank you.

Well, I don't know is there is a function to decode ALL escape chars, but for your problem a

    sMyLine.Replace("\\t", "\t")

    should do it.
