general info......
hi,
where can i learn about the winsock object on the net, is there a site that teaches you (like a book) all about the object, (i have the msdn but still...).

The MSDN Library should be able to show you nearly everything you want to know about the object. However, try searching the forums for 'Winsock' or 'Windows Sockets' and read through the posts. I can nearly always find the answer i'm looking for in previous posts.
Other than that, search for examples on Google on someother search engine.
You could ask in the VBForums (http://www.vbforums.com) or try searching Planet Source Code (http://www.planetsourcecode.com)
