    PWM through serial port

    I want to run a servo through a serial port and I dont know where to start. All the the articles I looked had a pic controlling the servo. since I only want to control one servo, I was thinking I could do it directly through a serial port and control the movement through software.
    Is this possible at all ?

    it wld be easier to use a parallel port. just use what lines you need.
