Need a good video converter
Hello,
I need a good software product that can convert video, between the most popular formats. I searched on Google and found an overwelming offer, some free and some paid; but I am interested in your personal suggestions, something that you use and are satisfied with!

Re: Need a good video converter
I use the Windows Media Encoder. It has some more possibilities than just converting though.
Get this small utility to do basic syntax highlighting in vBulletin forums (like Codeguru) easily.
Supports C++ and VB out of the box, but can be configured for other languages.

Is that a standalone application or an SDK to use in your code?

It's a standalone program from MS that's free for download.

Re: Need a good video converter
It sounds like an excelent product, and I found Amic Video Converter http://www.amicutilities.com/video-converter/ which has excelent compression and a very easy to use interface. I will still check a few other before I decide which one I will use on the long term!

Re: Need a good video converter
At one time, I used this one - http://www.artech365.com/ (quite some time back - just to see what it did). The compression was good but since I had the trial version, it used to put an "artech" label at the botton (center) of the screen view. It must have got better.
