    The haystack is growing...

Anyone watch the TV show Numb3rs?

Each episode opens with 4 numbers that are clues (whe show gives the meaning of the numbers as well). But here are 4 peices of data:

    • 1734449
    • 7149
    • 55
    • 1

    Can anyone put them together????

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice; in practice there is.

Do they have any meaning out of the show?

    Re: The haystack is growing...

The meaning is not in any way connected with the show (or television or entertainment).

It is a relevant post here on CodeGuru....

    [thats enough hints for now]

You must mean online members. I'm sure we had more than 7K registered members last month...

EDIT: Unless you mean open vacancies for the position of ... (never mind)

These are the stats from the bottom of the page, where did you get yours?
Get this small utility to do basic syntax highlighting in vBulletin forums (like Codeguru) easily.
Supports C++ and VB out of the box, but can be configured for other languages.

AArgh.. For the members number, I looked at the Number of Pages in the Members List... Forgot to multiply out...

The posts count was arrived at by adding up the columns on the (forum) home page. Need to go back and see if I made an error typing into calc, or if there is some difference between the two numbers..

    That's not innumerate...

But if you want to play with real numbers here is a game: what is the next row?

    1
    11
    21
    1211
    111221
    312211
