    Graphical alternative to pastebin ?

The pastebin site is a great tool for letting programmers share code fragments etc. But its big limitation is that it's restricted to text. You can't (for example) share a screenshot with someone.

Can anyone recommend a similarly good site that'll handle both text and graphics? Preferably...

    1) One which won't require the receiving party to log in or have an account.
    2) One that isn't plastered with annoying adverts.

    Thanks.

there are plenty of places where you can upload images...

just google for "free image hosting"

considering the "free", you will have to accept a certain amount of advertisement plastering.

Yeah, that's the problem I've encountered. I just wondered if someone could recommend one that's least intrusive.

[Edit...] Actually, I just found postimage which doesn't seem too bad...

pastebin can do this free because text is fairly small and compresses well. So less storage and low bandwidth usage.

whereas images can be huge and don't compress as well. So the storage requirements are orders of magnitude different.
Servers and bandwidth are expensive, so servers offering free image hosting have to get the money from somewhere.
TYpically that means any image you upload becomes intelectual property of the hoster and they can use the image in any way they want to. And they get to add advertisements. Be sure the relinquishing of IP is what you want here.
Note, the same is true for photo's on Facebook etc. they get the IP for any uploaded photo.
