Program development is constantly moving on, as well as our team, that continues checking various projects and tracking program updates. This time PVS-Studio analyzer took the liberty to check a project two years later. The new version of VirtualBox 5.0.XX got several updates and the developers fixed those issues that were described in our previous articles.

VirtualBox (Oracle VM VirtualBox) is a general-purpose full virtualizer for x86 hardware, targeted at server, desktop and embedded use. It is supported by following operating systems: Microsoft Windows, FreeBSD, Solaris/OpenSolaris, Linux, Mac OS X, DOS, ReactOS and others.

All who are interested to learn about new bugs in it and the analyzer warnings are welcome to read the article about the check of this project. Although VirtualBox was already checked by our team, it may serve as a good example showing the importance of using static analysis in a developing project some time later. This method prevents the errors from getting into a project due to constant analyzer updates.
