Is Visual Basic.Net the next step up from VB6?

I have visual basic 6 and have been using it for some time. I was wanting to upgrade to visual basic.net Anyone have any suggestions. If I install Visual Basic.Net, it wont delete VB6 will it?

No you can use them both on the same system without any issue as far as I know.

I had VB2003 on the same machine as VB6 and used them both without issues. I also had VB2005 on a machine with VB6 and now have VB2008 on a machine with VB6. I have tried VB2010 with VB6 as well with no issue. I haven't personally tried the latest version(s) but would expect the same.

As for which VB.Net you should use that depends at least in part on what you want to use it for.
