I have the maven blues
I was trying to add Apache math lib using maven . I plugged
in all the data and upon compilation it states it can't find the
dependency. I tried manually. Same result. Help.

Re: I have the maven blues
This error occurs when Maven can not download dependencies. One of the following reasons could be responsible for this type of error:
- The POM misses the declaration of the <repository> which hosts the artifact.
- To configure repository, repository require authentication and Maven might have failed to provide the correct credentials to the server.
- The remote repository uses SSL and the JVM running Maven does not trust the certificate of the server.
- Network problem might be preventing Maven from accessing the remote repository like missing proxy configration
- You have configured Maven to perform strict checksum validation and the files to download got corrupted.
- Maven might have failed to save the files to the local repository, you can check LocalRepositoryNotAccessibleException for details.
- Maven 3 cache the failure even if you have fixed the failed download and to force a refresh add -U to the command line.

On one try it stated the Pom was missing for Apache. Math.

Re: I have the maven blues
import package org.apache.commons.math3.stat.descriptive ;
That looks like bad syntax for the import statement. There should not be a space in the package name.
Do you get any error messages with that statement?
