How do you search in the VB6 forum only ?
Yes I can see the search button
I have selected the VB6 forum
I have logged in
When I then search for something I get results from every CodeGuru Forum (C++, .Net, etc etc )
I DONT WANT THAT (56 pages top troll through - thanks a lot !)
I just want VB6 results
Is it possible with this new Forum layout ?
Advanced search does not seem to have the answer either
Thanks

Thanks for moving my question to the Feedback Forum - I am the one and only thread in this forum. (No one will ever find it)
Are you actually trying to hide my question ?
Are you embarrassed that it is impossible to search in just one forum like you could in the old system ?
If you are a moderator (who moved my question), I am guessing you dont know the answer to my question
because you would have simply told me that I am missing something stupid.
Otherwise I think I am on the money and you are hiding my question out of embarrassment
I will not hold my breath
My last search was for ways to use Google maps with VB6 - you get 64 pages - with one VB6 response on a page if you are lucky
I am disappointed

Re: How do you search in the VB6 forum only ?
Your question was moved to the appropriate forum. The VB6 forum is for questions relating to the VB6 language - which your question wasn't regarding. The forum admins most definitely read the feedback forum.

You use the Advanced search. Then choose the tab "Search single content type".
Scroll down. Under the Additional Options you will see the combobox with the available Forums. Select what you need

Re: How do you search in the VB6 forum only ?
@George. No need to complain about having your thread moved. The mod that moved it, moved it appropriately and left a moved link in the vbforum. Nothing to get riled about. Victor answered your question as well. Say, you've been around since 2003, did you notice that many programming forums (other than cg) use the same forum software? The good news is that now that you've learned about filtering with the advance search, the same technique will work elsewhere. Pretty cool, huh?
