I have been building VS (2010, 2012, 2015, 2017) applications for some time now. No I am not an expert, but enjoy what I do. I mainly build single instance, off line programs for fun. Only 1 of the applications I have ever built is intended to go to one of 4 websites (dictionary links) that were exceptionally easy to code. I have others I have built in an earlier version of Visual Studio and they all will not appear on my screen once the executable has been built. I have a hardware and software firewall and I keep getting messages that they are trying to access port 80 when I didn't code that into the app. Can someone please explain to me why VS does this and how to prevent it?
