Predefined compiler macros

VC++ offers some pre-defined macros which can be used within your VS project - for example there's $(Platform) and $(ProjectName) and $(TargetExt)

$(TargetExt) will either be .lib or .dll or .exe (depending on whether you're building a static lib or a DLL or an exe).

But .lib is an special case - because lib files are also needed when linking to a DLL. So I wondered if a there's a special macro for identifying the link library - e.g. something like $(LibraryExt) which would always be .lib (on Windows at least)

I know I can create my own macros but I just wondered if there's something already available?
