    I need Taskbar APIs

    Hi

This topic (I need Taskbar APIs) is for about 13 years ago, but now I have the same problem

I make some changes in registry and because these chages are stored in the registry, I have to restart explorer.exe, to apply the new changes.

Isn't there an API which can do this immediately, I mean, If I set one of those properties (through Right clicking on the Taskbar, Properties), it does get set immediately - that is what I want

Still not clear on what you are trying to do.

Why do you need to touch the registry to work with the taskbar?

Because I have no another idea, I am trying to write a program to simulate Taskbar Settings > Taskbar > Turn system icon on or off

The user himself can select which icon should be on or off

From registry and HideSCANetwork, HideSCAVolume, HideClock it is possible to on/off network, speaker and clock icons
and from StuckRects3 it is possible to on/off microphone icon

but the problem is that this way needs to restart explorer.exe after the registry changes and I don't want this
