    printf doubt with infinte loop

    I'm not able to understand because test is not shown.

    Code:
    printf("test");
        while (1);
    while in this code Test is shown:

    Code:
    printf("test\n");
        while (1);
    What's difference with new line?

    Because "\n" causes an automatic
    fflush(stdout);
    when the output is in line buffered mode (which is the default when using an interactive console).

    If you don't want the \n, then call fflush yourself.

    Where can I find info about this mode ?

    \n outputs a new line and flushes the buffer if line-buffered (default for stdout to console).

    Code:
    printf("test\n");
    is the same as:

    Code:
    puts("test");
