How to improve code
Hello
I'm a beginner VB programmer but yesterday I wrote some code that automatically adds text to a text box when the user selects something from a drop down list. I have 2 drop down lists, each with about 50 options. The problem is that I have a lot of duplicate lines of code, about 200 lines for each option. I was told to use a dictionary but I don't know how to do that because I only have one text file "ThisDocument". Can anyone help me optimize my code so it is clearer and runs faster?
HTML Code:
Case "X"
resultCell.Range.Text = "Y"

All advice is offered in good faith only. All my code is tested (unless stated explicitly otherwise) with the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio (using the supported features of the latest standard) and is offered as examples only - not as production quality. I cannot offer advice regarding any other c/c++ compiler/IDE or incompatibilities with VS.
