Importing Dialog Resources

how do u import, besides the .cpp n .h files, the dialog resource from one workspace to another?

Hello!

You have just to open the resource file you want to import resources from.
It is named (YourProjectName.RC or YourProjectName.RC2).

Then you just copy and paste the desired resource.

Thanks for the tip....but i encountered another problem...there was a prompt askin for the resource type..n i do not know what to type in..i tried typin in 'Dialog' but it didnt work...do enlighten me on this...if possible.

Hello again.

You are right, you got my name right.


I do not know what dialog is asking you for the tye of resource. But you should do it this way.
1. In your target project click on Open
2. After you have found the right catalogue where the project you want to import from is, in file type choose ResourceFiles (.rc,.rct,.res)

3. Just click on the resource file (almost always *.rc)
4. You will get on the right pane a list over all resources available in that project.
5. Copy the resource you want to your target project.

I hope this works, if not you can write down the steps you followed and I will try to help you more.
