Shutdown of monitor
Hi, Just DIY my new PC and can anyone advise why my monitor shut down ("No signal") every now and then while my CPU is still running. There's nothing I can do except rebooting. thks.

No. If the frequency (Hz/refresh rate) was incompatible, nothing would display in the first place. Sounds like a hardware (monitor) issue to me.

Is the pc shutting of the monitor after a certain amount of time? You can adjust that. If it happens while it's running (and you have Vista), then it's a driver compatibility problem with the screen saver. Tell it to never shut off the monitor, but just black the screen automatically, or buy a new monitor.
