Ever spend 20 minutes hunting down a 'lost' copy of a file? Much easier to spend 2 seconds waiting for search to find it for you!
Gives everyone before Vista a benefit of Vista+ Operating Systems

I am tired of your sittimg up there looking into your mirrors for potential customers to advertise people's products (you might have partially jined the fun to create it)
ANYBODY if they know WHAT google there is FOR then will definitely know the INTRODUCTION of the search (You know how lies are embedded in words of advertisement)

Don't download it if you don't need an extra consumer of your system memory .
There ae a BUNCH of free software as search tools out there for you.
Eto, sorry I no sucker!

Re: Fututre of other desktop search vs Windows desktop search.
Ever look at the footprint of say, 'another desktop search' that's been around for a few years? I know people that started with the old one, and never changed.
They are amazed that it can find a file in 2 instead of 20 minutes. Indexing has been in Windows for quite a while. (others used it)
Now that people with Vista liked it so much, it's an offer for the XP folks.
YMMV, and you don't have to download it.
