Determine maximum file size allowed?
Is there a way to determine the maximum allowed file size for a selected disc? I work with large video files and I'm getting complaints that when users attempt to save them to a FAT partition the program simply crashes when it reaches the 2GB/4GB limit. I'd like to determine the maximum file size allowed for the output disc and throw up a warning if the estimated output file size is going to exceed that limit.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Determine maximum file size allowed?
I don't know a method, but the limits for FAT is 4GB while for NTFS it's (16TB-64KB).
See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...45(WS.10).aspx
So, maybe you can just check the type of the filesystem and check if it's FAT or NTFS.
