Sending text files tru telephone line to another computer

Can someone helpe send text files via phone line to another computer. Is that possible???

Of course it is possible to send text files through the phone lines, what do you think modems are for?

Seriously, could you please provide some more SPECIFIC details of what you are looking for????

Use the MS Winsock control. Plenty fo examples on the internet.

Not sure if that is necessarily a good suggection Cent.

We simply do not have enough information.

If he is coing peer-peer (direct dial connection) there are other options including Windows Shares.

There are also the good old standby's of Kermiot, Z-Modem, and all the rest.

Luke has simply not posted enough information to make any good suggestions.

hi,

if u r using windows '98 then use dial-in server to connect to the modem of the another computer by giving phone no only. this dial-in server is available in dial-up networking.

if u r using win2k , xp then u can make connection using connection wizard, which will set all the required things once u give the phone no.

then that machine u can access in your network neighbourhood or network places by entering that machine name in the address bar of the explorer.
