    uppercase in SQL???

    Hi. Is there any built in SQL syntax ability to make the string in query uppercase???

    sure
    in SQL Server : use the UPPER() function
    Code:
    SELECT UPPER(lastname) from employees
    in Access : use UCase
    Code:
    SELECT UCase(lastname) from employees
