Using File.list() on web server

Hi, Please help if you can.

I am writing an applet that would display *.jpg files in a directory. I use File.list() to get the who image files in that directory. When I run it on my pc (windows 95) the applet executes ok. When I put the applet on my web page, I get a SecurityException Error. Can somebody help, please. Thanks
