How do I get the version of files like DLL's EXE's OCX SYS etc, without using the Version API calls like GetFileInfo. The API's of Version.lib work fine, its only that they are not fast enough when a series of files are to be done.

So if anyone could let me know how it can be done using any other techniques , its would be highly appreciated.
