How to add a descriptive string to the header of my EXE?

I want to add a descriptive string to the header of an EXE file programmatically. The string shouldl appear as the Description field in the Technical Information section if the EXE file is seen with QuickView. Does anybody know how to do this? The EXE to which this is to be added is a console appln and hence I do not want to add a VersionString Resource.
