32-bit Jet and 16-bit Jet working together
I need some help and I hope that everyone that has ideas and similar experiences
in this area could help me out.
In our company we develop 32-bit applications that uses 16-bit databases.
These databases are also used by our old VB3 applications, and we do not
have the resources to convert these old apps to 32-bit this year.
When a Jet 3 engine communicates with these databases, at the same time
as the old 16-bit apps communicate with the same databases within a LAN,
performance is not very good. Old apps as well as new apps work slowly.
Probably there is no perfect solution to this, but perhaps some of you have
come up with something that would help us to speed things up, at least
a few percent.
Grateful for all help, and thanks in advance!
