Oh Microsoft ... Not AGAIN !

Shall I chalk up the new VS2010 'HELP' format to your policy of "Innovation for the sake of innovation" ?

Truly, MS, what was wrong with the VS2008's 'Help" functionality ? I enter the topic I'm interested in into the text box and am immediately presented with everything I ever wanted to know about the designated control, class, event, or whatever, and all of it easily accessible.

With VS2010 I must go through page after meaningless page, menu after meaningless menu, until I am presented with material about who-knows-what, spread out over 11 pages. That's OK, MS, I'm in no hurry.

And, to make matters worse, there's tons of "Community" BS where I get to see code from
who-knows-where given equal billing with code from MS expert developers

Truly, MS, what's next for VS2012 ? Will you send us off to Facebook to see what some 14-year-old kid from Finland suggests ?

A friendly comment if I may: Innovation for the sake of innovation is not only detrimental to an already-magnificent product, it ain't necessary for sales. I'll buy VS2012 for the world class debugger and equally fine .NET Framework (hopefully you won't 'innovate' THOSE, too!).

I used to LOVE your help section and relied on it HEAVILY. Now it's really just a social networking site.

Disappointing, MS ... Truly, I think whoever's runnin' the show over at VS oughtta be sent to Google as penance.
