C++ lifetime
C++ community is huge. Job market is crowded with C++ programmers. But since C# came along, C++ is clearly losing its place. For over 6 months, I have not been able to find out a job ads of a C++ position. The most commonly seen one is ASP.NET+C# and PHP along with jquery and ajax, the rest is then filled with positions as network technicians, LAN/WAN managers. At least this is what is happening in my area.
When I come across a job ads from a random US site, I don't know anything about the details they seek from the future employees (they prefer no-SQL, and strange technical skills et know-hows which I can't find any on this site.), which is amazing.
I only would not like to forget what I learn so quickly, I have grown up from C++ and from people's guidance on this site once, although codeguru is no longer as vivid as it was 8-10 years ago. Thinking about its being overlapped with other languages and its possible disappearance in a near future saddens me somewhat. Time flies by, only sadness remains.
