Beginner's guide to ActiveX!
I'm a total beginner to ActiveX, but I know what I'm doing pretty much with VB...
The problem is this. I have a nice ActiveX control which is just basically a couple of text boxes and buttons. When I run it from VB itself, it loads up in the web browser nicely and works a treat. The problem is when I try to get it working on other machines. I have IIS on my NT Server machine so I use the Package and Deployment Wizard to create a CAB file and the example HTML file. However, when I point a web browser at this HTML file, it downloads the CAB file and then starts downloading loads of OCX files and DLLs and then asks me to reboot! I have never come across an ActiveX control on the Internet which asks you to reboot before you can use it! Can somebody give me some nice easy instructions to follow?!
Thanks,
Nick
