Form fails to load due to RichTextBox ActiveX control
Using VB5, a simple form fails to show on different PCs (mixture on Win'NT4 and Win'95) because one of the controls on it is the RichTextBox. The failure appears with one of Microsoft's unhelpful 'Quitting' message boxes, and no sign of the form. The form works when run on the same PC as it is built on, but not always on others. The reason must lie in the version of the RichTextBox ActiveX control installed on the build PC.
Is there any way to check the RichTextBox control is there during form load / show, and trap it to produce a more sensible response than 'Quitting'?
