Does anyone know if there is any way to check the version of Access within a VB program?

I am now using VB6 and Access 2000 to develop a program that will display data from Access file. I need to make it portable which means that no matter which machine the executable resides, and what is the version of the Access, the executable should be able to create a database without fail.

Anyone knows how ??
