Changing gateway address programmatically?
Question: how can I change default gateway address programmatically?
Good day to all pros:
I am facing a scenario where I need to change the default gateway address of my local computer, which is part of a LAN if in case it's not working. I want to create a VB/VC++ program by which when it encounters that gateway is not working it should try to change the gateway address to another specified gateway automatically without user interaction.
I looked on the internet for a suitable DLL function which when provided with new gateway address takes care of low level programming and changes the gateway address for the user.
I came across a code in Microsoft web site at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de.../iphelp_14.asp but it is for windows CE which is an open source. So I really doubt that it will work on windows 2000 or any other windows environment for that matter.
Is there any API or any DLL function, which can be used to change the default gateway address?
Please Help
Thanks in advance
