I have been using NetQueryDisplayInformation for a while now to obtain hotnames from a domain controller in my domain. Lately, I have been having name resolution issues whereas WINS and DNS are not accurate and "sinked" but DNS is the most accurate.

Well, there is nothing I can do about the WINS and DNS issues because I am not in control of that.

I need ideas on how I can use DNS only for names resolution. Can I can get names by using the FQDN (ex. myhost.domain.com)?

Has anyone had a need for this and figured it out? I am using a console application.
