Changing database location in crystal reports ocx

Hi,
I have the following problem.
When I change in code the location of the database in my code and set the datafiles(0) property acordingly
I get the "error detected by database dll". Why?
If I don't change the location it works fine.

VB4-32 and Crystal Reports 4.5
