CodeGuru VB Site - Have your Say
I've finally got access from EarthWeb to update the main CodeGuru page (and the overall site). I've a few ideas for tidying up the site a little bit, and would be interested to hear what you would like to see from the main page.
There were links to both the MSDN Search and the Knowledge Base Search for VB from the main page. These were quite popular so I'll put them back in.
Let me know what you'd like to see on the site and I'll see what I can do.

Re: CodeGuru VB Site - Have your Say
Maybe you can create a top 10 of the most asked questions, since I get the idea that not much ppl take the time to read back / use the search feature to see if their question is already answered.
Hmmm and maybe a "beginner's guide to the F1 key" ... ;-)

LOL!
I think a top-10 / FAQ is a good idea (especially as the FAQ that is there is 'buried' so deep. I used to be able to check the stats on the pages hit the most so I could get a general feeling of what people were interested in. I'll see if I can get back to that and put links to the 10 most popular articles also.

Photos!
Photos of all members or if it is not possible, at least of those who are in the overall top ten!

Re: Photos!
I'm hoping to get more visitors to the site, not scare them away ! ;-)
You could put a link on your profile to a photo stored somewhere on the net. But if you really want a picture of my ugly mug on the site somewhere, I'm sure I can do some amazing things with PSP and dark-light filters.

Re: CodeGuru VB Site - Have your Say
Two small sugestions:
1. may you can add the option to delete a post - you know - if you post and change your mind - or make a mistake ect'
2. add a return to forum link in the posts - now - when reding several answers to a specific post - you have to use the history option - or multy click the back button...
other thatn that - GREAT site!
