Gettng started with C++

Yesterday I stumbled onto a copy of Visual C++ 6.0 in a thrift store. Having always always wanted to learn it, I figured that I couldn't wrong with the unopened package for only $35. Now, however, I find myself wondering where I should start. Are there any good online resources for beginner in the language? I am most inerested in game writing and graphics manipulation and such.
