Visual Basic 6 Pro Start-Up Screen Changes to Working Model
Some time ago my VB6 Professional metamorphosed into the Working Model Edition, according to the start-up screen. One result of this is that online help from within VB no longer works. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I’m on NT4 SP3, IE5.0, Visual Studio 6 SP3. But the problem first occurred under VS6 SP2.

Re: Visual Basic 6 Pro Start-Up Screen Changes to Working Model
I had this strange problem as well when I intalled Win 2000. I configured it for the double boot setup where I could choose win98 or 2000 at start up. VB6 was installed in Win 98 and when I tried to open it from 2000 I got the same behavior you mentioned. My 'solution' was easy, uninstall on 98 and reinstall on 2000. I still have the same problem when I open VB from 98 now though...

Re: Visual Basic 6 Pro Start-Up Screen Changes to Working Model
I don't know what caused mine to flip versions. I certainly hadn't tried to install another OS. No doubt, a reinstallation will sort it out but I was just curious as to the cause and whether there was a registry fix available. It's not too critical at present as I'm not really using VB much at present.
