- A liver cell is specialized enough to perform more than 500 operations at a time.
- The heart beats approximately 100,000 times a day.
- A normal human body has about 5 billion capillaries whose total length, if stretched out, is about 950 kilometers.
- Our heart pumps about 43,000 liters of blood per day.
- If the information in DNA were put in the form of a book, these books put on top of each other would reach 70 meters high.
- The DNA of a single cell contains the design of 206 bones, 600 muscles, a network of 10,000 auditory muscles, a network of 2 million optic nerves, 100 billion nerve cells, and 100 trillion cells in the body.
- A single brain can process work equivalent to that of 4.5 million transistors on a modern microprocessor.

did you know that...
- A single sun burst is equivalent to 100 billion atomic bombs similar to the one dropped on Hiroshima.
- We would need over five hundred years to count the number of atoms inside a tiny grain of salt.
- Every year, the amount of water that evaporates and that falls back to the Earth in the form of rain is "constant": 513 trillion tons.
- The pressure the mountains exert on the crust of the earth with their enormous mass prevents the magma movements in the core of the earth from reaching the earth and destroying the earth's crust.

Did You Know That..
The darker your urine colour, the more dehydrated you are.
A couple of nights ago I watched a program, they say that there are 8 levels in which they test your urine colour. 1 being the lightest, 8 being the darkest.
If you get an 8, you know that you are VERY dehydrated, if You managed to get above eight, you could die within 2 hours, because of dehydration.

The first train reached a top speed of only 8 km/h (5 mph).
When English inventor Richard Trevithick introduced the steam locomotive on 21 February 1804 in Wales, it achieved a speed of 8 km/h (5 mph). In 1815, Englishman George Stephenson built the world's first workable steam locomotive, commissioned by the Killingworth colliery. In 1825, he introduced the first passenger train, which steamed along at 25 km/h (16 mph). Today, trains can fly down the tracks at 500 km/h (311 mph).
