Multithreaded debugging
Does anyone know a good tool for analyising multi-threaded applications. What I'm looking for is something that can inform me of where potential deadlocks etc.. are located.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Multithreaded debugging
Take a look at the article "Deadlock Detection" by J. P. Robbins in MSJ. I think he reprinted it (with downloads) at www.jprobbins.com as well as via the MSJ site. On a more heretical note, I firmly believe that this type of issue should be resolved during the design phase: if you're trying to find deadlocks after coding, you've waited too late. What will you do if you find one? Re-design and re-code it all and look for another one? Think first. Code second.
Cheers!
