    recommendation...

    i am totally new into database using MFC. what's the best book that has a lot of examples?

    I've been looking for over a year for a book like this. Many books have a chapter devoted to VC++ & database programming. The one I use the most is Revolutionary guide to Win32 programming using VC++ by Mike Blaszcak. The edition I have was published in 1995. It has a good chapter on exception handling also (handy for database work).
