    Question 3d modeling and animation

    What are some great 3d modeling and animation softwares/sharewares/freewares i can use to export models and animations to an .x file for my games?

    Free modeling tools are:

    - Milkshape 3D
    - Blender
    - gmax

    But I do not remember .x exporter, maybe you can use an extern tool to export the data if the previous software doesn't have it.

    You can use OpenFx, its free, but exporting from it may not be straight forward. Take a look at Loading Complex Models for details.
