    Can someone explain to me what's all this deal with Excel, spreadsheets, crystal reports? What are

    I had never used any of them before, so I'm just wondering what are they and what for.

    Crystal Reports is a reporting tool that comes with quite a few MS products, e.g. Visual Studio 6.
    It used to be an integrated part of the vB installation, but that has changed. MS offers Data Report Designer.
    I still think Crystal Report is more powerful and has more options, though.
