Hi,
Can anyone here tell me why my password expires so fast?
I keep getting a new password almost every week. What do i do?

Because it's temp password, plus I'm with you on this one, because my pass that i received when i became a member of this forum, that password doesn't work, so i keep on getting new temp password, and that just ticks me off sometimes...

Not that I'm aware of - it's never once given me a new password (apart from when the whole forum db crashes - that hasn't happened since last year).

The Forum uses a lot of cookies to keep track of whether you are in or not - as for the other technical details, I just don't know, I've never (had to) investigate it before.

I'll send off an email to our webmaster and ask him if he knows anything about this.

I think if you have prg's (there are a lot of these!) that clear the cookie's folder and temnporary internet files you have this problem. IE do this and you can set the time.

I had this problem too when I first joined. I just hit "forgot password", got it mailed to me, logged in, hit Edit Profile, changed my password to a permanent one, and it hasn't bothered me since. Although I'm still pretty new to this forum, so maybe i just need to wait a little longer before my password changes itself heh.
